WORK is under way on reshaping Glasgow’s track in time for the new season.
Contractors have moved in to the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium in order to widen the circuit and provide a better circuit for racing.
It’s the first major work to take place on the track itself since it received a major overhaul ahead of the 2011 league-winning campaign, and follows substantial investment in the off-track facilities.
As our gallery shows, a significant chunk of the centre green is being removed to allow for wider straights and entrances to the bend – which should allow for more room for passing.
We will keep fans updated on progress via the website and on social media.
