Dimitri has already been a World Champion having won the 2009 125cc Grasstrack and 2012 World 250cc Longtrack Championship, he was also 3rd in the speedway version that year. 2013 saw him finish 8th in the European Junior Speedway Championships and he also rode internationally for France. In the World Team Cup qualifying in Hungary, he scored 4 points and top scored in the
Long Track version as the French finished runners-up to the Netherlands (including Theo Pijper who was also a top scorer).
At the end of that season he qualified for the World Long Track Grand Prix for 2014.
He started the 2014 season for the Tigers riding in the difficult no.2 position but quickly showed that he had plenty of talent, top scoring on a number of occasions. Unfortunately he had a bad crash in the home win over Peterborough and suffered internal injuries which kept him out for almost 3 months. Just a couple of weeks after he returned to the saddle he was out again after crashing in practice for the World Long Track GP, a series where he never actually rode in. The subsequent broken arm keeping him out for the rest of 2014.
Son of former rider Philippe Berge
Dimitri left the club in July 2015 and has subsequently joined Redcar Bears on loan for the rest of the season.
