GLASGOW have appointed a new assistant team manager – long-term fan and sponsor Cami Brown. He will act as back-up for team boss Stewart Dickson, having already stepped into the manager’s shoes in the past.
Brown will take up his role in time for the 2018 season as the new-look Tigers bid to win the SGB Championship. He said: “It’s a job I have wanted to do for many years and have been proud to step in for Stewart on a couple of occasions.
“I’ll take the job very seriously indeed and can’t wait to work with the riders, Stewart, Gerry, David and Peter Facenna, to try and get the team riding at the best of their ability every week.”
“I think I am the kind of person the riders can trust, and I will be on their side, but they in turn must give Glasgow Speedway 100% and that’s what I hope to help with.”
“This season coming is huge for Glasgow and we must try and give the fans something to really shout about.”
“I know all about that – I have been a fan for more than 40 years.”
Glasgow welcome Richie Worrall back from the team that raced in 2017 but have six new faces this season – Chris Harris, Lewis Kerr, Paul Starke, Claus Vissing, James Sarjeant and Jack Parkinson-Blackburn.
